ARTIST STATEMENT
As a multimedia artist and designer, I am primarily interested in exploring the connections
between art and culture and finding the best way to translate eternal human themes into
cohesive stories. I’m fascinated by the big questions and little moments of life: exploring
dualities and paradoxes, the relationships between nature, machines, and the unknown or
divine, and the natural cycles and patterns of life. Curiosity and passion combine to create
a prolific output of work, all guided by values of empathy, intention, and collaboration and
the understanding that nothing is created in a vacuum.
I feel strongly that we as artists are inherently informed by our time and circumstances and thus have a responsibility to shed light on what we see
and respond by imagining and encouraging a world more open-minded and egalitarian than the one we inherited.

Though I use many different media, my personal work shares a whimsical
and symbolic style, adding a dream-like quality to exploring various topics. Through my
work, I hope to share my belief in the magic of art and the transformational power of
creativity with my community. In my spare time, I enjoy making and experiencing art of all
kinds, spending time with friends and family, and trying
to learn something new everyday.
