Visionaries + Voices: Double Vision 2025


An experience in which artists from Visionaries + Voices collaborate with community artists to create original artworks which are 
then auctioned off at a live fundraising event and celebration. 100% of proceeds go to supporting the organization’s mission of providing creative, professional, and educational opportunities for adults with disabilities. 

My partner, Nicole Johnson, and I bonded over our love of bright colors, whimsical designs, and fashion. For our piece, we decided to create a vest inspired by the phrase “April showers bring May flowers.” The vest was created from fabric, felt, and thread donated to the V+V Studio in Northside, Cincinnati. We had sewing assistance from studio manager Tory Keith. The vest was chosen to be presented and sold during the live auction, eventually selling for an incredibly generous $600.
